I bought this magazine advertisement page of the LeTourneau-Westinghouse SwitchTractor. I had never seen or heard of the SwitchTractor previously. What caught my attention was the machine’s use at a uranium mill in New Mexico. I don’t come across too many nuclear related materials directly mentioned with LeTourneau, with the exception of the proposed nuclear powered Overland Train.
The drawing on the left-hand side of this advertisement also reminded me of the very first Overland Train concept called the Tournamotive, pictured below.
